It's immature, half-baked, but goddamnit, it's fun.
I used to listen to this and hear only flaws - overwhelming orchestration, thick textures, borrowed styles - I was still finding my voice as a composer.
Now, 2023, I rediscover this piece after years buried. I listen, I wonder, "I used to write with such zest, unbound energy... what happened?" Those flaws, strengths I've yet to develop.
